Externship Program Overview
The culinary externship is a unique opportunity for students to gain “real world” experience in a mentored environment.
Students can gain culinary experience by working in a restaurant, hotel, club, or other food service operation. Students have the opportunity to complete up to two externships. The educational objectives of an externship are as follows:
- Enhance student’s cooking skills and techniques
- Broaden the student’s view of the food service industry
- Expose the student to the skills and knowledge of industry professionals
