We are so proud of our Newport News Physical Therapy Assistant students and faculty who kicked off their annual campaign to raise money for the Muscular Dystrophy Association (MDA). Today’s fundraising event: The Great Chili Cook-Off!  We had 14 contestants who submitted their culinary creations to be reviewed by a panel of judges. The rest was sold to eager staff, faculty, students and more than $1,300 was raised for MDA. More events and more dollars to come!

Exploring Program in the Spotlight

The Virginia Beach campus was happy to welcome Scott Mathews, a correspondent for the Virginia Beach Beacon. He came to write a story about high school students who participate in the Exploring Program, sponsored by ECPI. Each week these young people come to campus to learn valuable skills. Right now, they are learning how to make their own video games.

Toys for Tots

Congrats to the Virginia Beach Evening Criminal Justice Club for collecting nearly 100 toys for Toys for Tots. Special thanks to Kit Bradshaw, Robert Balanon and Dorothy Knouse for leading the effort!  This club is just one of many groups among all the ECPI campuses who are working hard to make the holidays better for those less fortunate!
