What is SOCMARs involvement?

The Servicemembers Opportunity College Marines (SOCMAR) colleges award credit for military experience and training based on American council on Education (ACE). The SOCMAR Student Agreement is a roadmap to the ultimate goal of a college degree. The roadmap assume the strong likelihood Marines will be able to receive formal college credit for previously completed formal military training and service experience.

Will enrolling Marines be provided a SOCMAR Agreement?

Yes.

When will Marines receive a SOCMAR Agreement?

Upon enrolling at ECPI service personnel will be asked to provide their military as well as other transcripts that will assist our academic departments in determining how much transfer credit will be awarded individual Marines who attend ECPI. A SOCMAR Agreement will be provided to the student prior to completing 6 semester hours.
