ECPI Announces New Software Development Degree

North Charleston, SC – ECPI University is pleased to announce that it is now offering a Bachelor of Science Degree in Computer and Information Science with a concentration in Software Development at its Charleston campus.

The curriculum emphasizes teaching students how to write and maintain source code and become knowledgeable in the planning and structured process involved with software development. They are also instructed on how to develop efficient and scalable programs, mobile and web applications, and cloud-based software using languages and technologies such as Java, C#, Objective-C, Python, iOS, Android, jQuery, Google App Engine, BigTable, and MongoDB.

ECPI Announces New Cloud Computing Degree

North Charleston, SC – ECPI University is pleased to announce that it is now offering a Bachelor of Science Degree in Computer and Information Science with a concentration in Cloud Computing and Virtualization at its Charleston campus.

“The importance of this degree is that it prepares students to help an organization increase information technology agility, flexibility, and security while reducing the cost and complexity of managing legacy network infrastructures,” says Charleston Campus President James Weaver. “The demand for these skill sets is great since companies are relying on this technology to improve efficiencies while continuing to offer services that help them maintain their business- driven competitive edge.”

New Faculty Members at ECPI University’s Charleston Campus

Dr. Laurie Hart, RN, BSN, MD has joined the ECPI University campus in North Charleston as Licensed Practical Nursing faculty.  Hart attended Dominican College and the De la Salle University Dasmarinas College of Medicine.

Robbie Nolan has joined the Medical Assisting faculty at ECPI University as Lead Instructor. Nolan was a Corpsman in the United States military for over eight years, and completed multiple overseas tours of duty.

The ECPI University Admissions department welcomes a new advisor, Rusty Nichols.  Nichols is a 25-year veteran of the U.S. Navy, specializing in both electronics and as a member of the Career Recruiting Force.
