Employers and Advisors On Hand to Help Vets
and Service Members Make Transition to Civilian Workforce
RALEIGH, N.C. - ECPI University and the USO of North Carolina are pleased to announce Operation Military Job Fair, a day-long event featuring employers, career counselors, and life coaches. "As a nation, we need to do all we can to help service members and vets transition to civilian life," says ECPI University Executive Director of Military Education Robert Larned. "This goes way beyond just finding them a job."
Scheduled for Friday, May 17 from 8:15 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. at ECPI University, located at 4101 Doie Cope Road in Raleigh,
Operation Military Job Fair will include workshops covering:
- Resume Writing
- Interviewing Skills
- Educational Options
- Challenges of Civilian Life
- Stress Meditation
More than 40 employers will also be on hand to meet with and interview attendees on the spot. "The USO's mission is to lift the spirit of our troops and their families, so events like these are essential to fulfilling that commitment," says Director of the USO of Raleigh-Durham Airport Connie Inggs. "It's clear that ECPI shares our passion and is, therefore, an ideal partner."
