ECPI University-Led Effort Attracts More than 2,000 Job Seekers
Columbia, SC – The Columbia campus of ECPI University is pleased to announce the results of its first community job fair. Held in conjunction with the South Carolina, Greater Columbia, Greater Irmo, West Metro, and Greater Lexington Chambers of Commerce, as well as the Doubletree Hotel and IT-oLogy, the event drew more than 2,000 job seekers.
The March 11 event was open to the public and gave attendees the opportunity to meet with more than 60 employers. “It’s hard to measure, but I would say that many lives were changed for the better that day and South Carolina’s economic outlook improved by the connections made to enhance our workforce,” says ECPI Columbia Campus President James Rund. “We are very proud that our coalition was able to bring everyone together to achieve so much for our community with this one event.”
