ECPI students will be informed at orientation of standards conduct that clearly prohibit the unlawful possession, use, or distribution of drugs and alcohol; a description of the health risks a description of all drugs and alcohol advice, treatment, or rehabilitation programs that are specific sanctions to be imposed on students (consistent with local, state, and federal law) and a description of these sanctions, up to and including expulsion or termination of employment and referral for prosecution for violations of the standards.

Federal, state and local laws all carry heavy penalties for the unlawful possession, use, and distribution of illicit drugs and alcohol. Also, Federal, state, and local law enforcement agencies cooperate with each other in the investigation of drug and alcohol-related crimes.
