ChartSpan Finds Greenville, SC Good Place to Grow

Electronic medical records company ChartSpan has announced it will add an additional 300 employees to its Downtown Greenville location. A relatively new startup founded in 2011, ChartSpan is a free app that allows patients to organize, request, and send their entire family’s health records from their smartphone. Physicians and medical practices pay to use the software to manage their patients' medical records. 

On its website, ChartSpan says it ensure meaningful use compliance through:

  • Automated Record Delivery – patients are encouraged to view, download, and transmit records
  • Virtual Care Teams – patients have 24/7 access to a team of certified medical professionals
  • Secure Electronic Messaging – doctors and patients can send and receive messages, including attachments, in a highly-secure environment within seconds
  • Patient Onboarding – Clinical Engagement Specialists visit each practice for two weeks to train staff
  • Real-Time Analytics – provides doctors and health professionals with meaningful data to evaluate patient metrics

Most of the new jobs will be with the company’s clinical support team, comprised of nurses, medical assistants, and certified nursing assistants. ECPI University’s Greenville campus will be providing the education and degrees applicants will need to qualify for these positions.
