The program emphasizes applying business principles to real-world scenarios and cultivating critical thinking skills essential for navigating today’s complex business environment. The Business Management concentration is designed to help students explore effective leadership practices, organizational management strategies, and decision-making techniques. Coursework emphasizes strategic planning, adaptability, and the integration of technology to address the challenges of modern businesses. Students are encouraged to develop skills in teamwork, problem-solving, and effective communication, which are valued across a wide range of industries. The Business Management concentration features four degree tracks that students can choose from: - **Project Management**: Develop skills to lead teams and use tools to manage projects, maximizing performance and minimizing risk. - **Human Resources Management**: Learn practices to support and motivate a diverse, multicultural workforce. - **Leadership**: Focus on creating environments that foster change, innovation, and strategic decision-making. - **General Management**: Customize coursework to align with individual career goals and interests. Through ECPI’s year-round accelerated schedule, students can earn their BSBA degree with a concentration in Business Management in as few as **2.5 years**. ### Knowledge and Skills Graduates should grow in the following areas: - **Core Business Knowledge:** Strong foundation in business fundamentals, including accounting, finance, marketing, management, and operations. - **Management Skills:** Ability to lead and motivate teams, make strategic decisions, and manage resources effectively. - **Global Business Perspective:** Awareness of global business trends and the ability to operate in a multicultural environment. - **Communication and Interpersonal Skills:** Effective communication and interpersonal skills for building relationships and influencing others. ## Business Management Curriculum Bachelor of Science in Business Administration Business Management concentration - **Financial Management** — FIN350 Students will learn about net present value and internal rate of return techniques, lease vs. buy analysis and cost of capital computations. - **International Business** — BUS436 This course explores the world of international business and examines national and international governmental controls and constraints that impact the environment in which the system operates. ### Program Requirements To receive the Bachelor of Science in Business Administration, students must earn 121 semester credit hours. The program requires a minimum of 8 semesters, which is equivalent to 30 months or 120 weeks of instruction. Students will select one of the tracks available under this program.
