Virginia Beach
– The CETA Club donated four complete com-
puter systems for homeless veterans at the Judeo-Christian
Outreach Center (JCOC). Club Advisor Edward Konowicz,
along with CETA Club student volunteers, have been creating
and teaching a computer class each

months at the Center where the home-
less can find temporary housing and
meals.

gathered at Lake Taylor Transitional Care
Hospital to celebrate a remarkable life.

about workforce readiness, entre-
preneurship and financial literacy.

– Physical Therapy
Assistant (PTA) students continued
their tradition of supporting MDA
this year. They kicked off their an-
nual fundraising campaign with a
chili cook-off that raised more than
$1,300. Among all their activities
they raised nearly $2,000.
PTA students also volunteered
for MDA’s annual summer camp
in Wakefield, Virginia. Twenty five
faculty and students helped out
with activities, contests, swim-
ming, and skits.
Northern Virginia
– Criminal Justice
Program Director Daniel McKenna
hosted a local Girl Scout troop, help-
ing them earn their Forensic Science
badges. The young ladies learned how
to roll fingerprints, identify criminal evi-
dence, and engaged in a discussion on
cyber-bullying.

students prepare for the
ILITE Robotics off-season
competition.
