It was a wet weekend for the 2011 Oceana Air Show in Virginia Beach but representatives from ECPI University braved the elements to talk to aviation fans.
The air show was first held in 1953 and the event has been held almost each year since. The show is a thrilling event for those who love aircraft and aviation and is always a thrilling spectacle of flight demonstrations, parachute shows, pyrotechnics and more.
This year the air show celebrated the Centennial of Naval Aviation September 23 through 25. The show featured a number of aerial performers including the U.S. Navy Blue Angels, who have been performing since 1946.
