Overseas Representation

For many international students, it’s the first time they have left home, and it is often the first time they have visited the United States. At ECPI University, we know this is a big decision and there are many things that should be considered, such as:

  • Preparing for the American system of higher education
  • Adaptation to American culture
  • Cost
  • Geography and temperature
  • Health and Safety

To help during this process, ECPI University works with Overseas Advisors who can provide invaluable assistance. They are available to share information about the full range of educational opportunities in the United States, including:

  • Admissions information
  • English language testing
  • Application process review
  • Assistance with preparation and assembly of documents
  • Preparation for obtaining a student (or vocational) visa from the US government
  • Pre-departure orientation.

These advisors work in many sectors, including US embassies and government-sponsored commissions, bi-national centers, private not-for-profit organizations, English language centers, and independent advising centers. ECPI University welcomes representatives from all of these organizations to share information with prospective students and is eager to engage in partnership agreements. Those interested in partnering with ECPI University are encouraged to e-mail overseasreps @ecpi.edu for additional information.

ECPI University is a member institution of NAFSA: Association of International Educators, and abides by the NAFSA Code of Ethics. It expects the same from all independent advising centers wishing to engage in a partnership relationship.
