As ECPI University expands into Atlanta, new leadership brings both experience and a deep sense of purpose. Keever Jankovich steps into the role of Campus President with a passion for career-focused education and a clear commitment to student success.

We sat down with Keever to learn more about his journey, his perspective on higher education, and what excites him most about building something new in Atlanta.

Q: Your path into education wasn’t traditional. How did it begin?

A: I actually started my career in business and made a pretty significant pivot. At a point where I wasn’t sure what I wanted to do or where I was going, I was offered a role teaching business courses at a university. It wasn’t something I had planned or actively pursued, but I ended up loving it.

My father was a teacher, so in some ways it came full circle. Once I got into the classroom, I realized how much I enjoyed helping people take that next step, whether that was starting a career or advancing in one. That’s what really pulled me into education.

Q: What types of students have had the biggest impact on you?

A: I’ve worked with a lot of adult learners and career changers. People often describe them as “nontraditional” students, but I tend to avoid that because, honestly, they’re becoming the traditional student. These are people balancing work, family, and school.

What I’ve seen is that many of them are often left behind by more traditional models of higher education. Helping those students find opportunity and move forward in their careers has been the most rewarding part of what I do.

Q: Why is ECPI University the right fit for you at this stage of your career?

A: The commitment to career outcomes is a big part of it. I’ve seen firsthand how some traditional models can leave students with degrees that don’t always translate into real opportunities in today’s job market.

What excites me about ECPI is the direct connection between programs and workforce needs. Whether it’s healthcare, technology, or engineering, these are roles that are in demand in Atlanta and across the country. Preparing students for those careers is meaningful work. It benefits students, their families, and the broader community.

Q: You’re helping launch a brand-new campus. What does that opportunity mean to you?

A: I’ve been part of a campus opening before, and it’s definitely a unique experience. You’re not just building programs; you’re building a culture.

It’s always exciting to develop a team from the ground up because you get to bring people together around a shared mission and help them grow in their careers. When you have a strong team, you see strong results. And that shows up in the experience students have.

Q: What stands out to you about ECPI as an organization?

A: What really stands out to me is how long people stay here. This is a place where people build careers, not just pass through. They believe in the mission, and you can see that in the way they show up every day.

That kind of commitment says a lot about the culture and the impact of the work. It's an honor to join a group of people who are so dedicated to changing lives through education.

Q: What excites you most about leading ECPI’s Atlanta campus?

A: Atlanta is a dynamic, growing city with real workforce needs. Being able to play a role in preparing the next generation of professionals, especially in high-demand fields, is incredibly motivating.

This isn’t just about opening a campus. It’s about creating real opportunities that lead to meaningful careers. I’m excited to get started.

Q: When you're not focused on the campus launch, how do you usually like to spend your time?

A: When I’m not focused on running the campus, I like to keep things balanced between family, staying active, and continuous learning. I enjoy spending quality time with my wife of 30 years and my two grown kids, three dogs, and one cat. Sometimes that’s taking walks, traveling, or exploring new places, and other times it’s just being present at home. I also make it a priority to stay active and to do what I can to continue to learn and grow.
