Immersive Learning Environments

Our programs emphasize practical, hands-on learning from faculty with real industry experience. Modern facilities and equipment give students access to the tools and technology used in professional settings.

Students train in environments such as

• Cyber and Networking Lab: Build and secure networks, monitor live traffic, and practice real-world cybersecurity scenarios.
• Electronics and Mechatronics Lab: Work with programmable logic controllers (PLCs), sensors, and diagnostics to test and troubleshoot automated systems.
• Nursing Skills and Simulation Lab: Strengthen clinical judgment through patient care, coordination, and communication in realistic healthcare settings.
• CAD and Design Lab: Use industry-standard software to create 2D and 3D models for objects, structures, and buildings.
• Software and Data Lab: Develop specialized technology, resources, and expert support for research, coursework, and career preparation.
• Medical Assisting Skills Lab: Learn administrative and laboratory procedures and practice clinical skills by taking vital signs, administering injections, and performing phlebotomy.

Industry-Recognized Certifications

Students can earn certifications alongside their degree to gain a competitive edge in the job market. Some programs include certification prep and testing, often at a reduced cost.

• Library Services: Access research materials, databases, computer labs, and quiet study rooms, along with LibGuide for online resources and GetCertified™ for certification prep.
• Federal Work Study: Find part-time, flexible employment that supports a student's field of study and helps cover educational expenses.

Campus Life

Our campus encourages community and collaboration beyond the classroom. Students can find opportunities to connect with peers and explore shared interests. 

Ways to get involved include

• Student Veterans of America (SVA): An active chapter on campus provides community and engagement opportunities for military-affiliated students.
• eSports Team: The ECPI Rams compete in collegiate gaming while promoting sportsmanship and teamwork.
• Ethical Hacking: Members apply concepts from CIS courses and practice skills such as penetration testing and vulnerability assessment, preparing for cybersecurity competitions and hackathons.
• Information Systems Security Association (ISSA): Meetups connect students with cybersecurity professionals to network and gain insight into the industry.
• Phi Theta Kappa: The honor society recognizes academic achievement and offers opportunities for leadership and service.
• National Technical Honor Society (NTHS): The organization recognizes excellence in technical education and connects students with high-achieving peers.
• Student Ambassador Program: High-achieving students represent the student body at campus events, lead tours, and serve as authentic voices for their peers.
