Business Analytics Degree Concentration Overview

The Bachelor of Science in Business Administration (BSBA) program with a concentration in Business Analytics is designed to prepare students with foundational business knowledge and specialized analytical skills. By integrating core business principles with data analysis techniques, the program aims to help students develop competencies that are increasingly essential in data-centric industries.

The Business Analytics concentration focuses on teaching students how to collect, interpret, and apply data to optimize business processes and support strategic decision-making. Graduates may pursue careers in areas such as data analysis, business intelligence, and operational management, depending on individual performance and experience.

This Business Analytics concentration features two degree tracks that students can choose from:

  1. The Operations Analytics track emphasizes optimization, data mining, and statistical analysis to improve efficiency and productivity to solve operational challenges
  2. The Leadership track develops ethical and emotionally intelligent leaders who can drive organizational change and innovation.

With ECPI's year-round accelerated program, students can earn their BSBA degree with a concentration in Business Analytics in as few as 2.5 years.

Knowledge and Skills

Graduates should grow in the following areas:

  • Core Business Knowledge:
    Strong foundation in business fundamentals, including accounting, finance, marketing, management, and operations.
  • Data Analytics & Statistical Modeling:
    Proficiency in data collection, cleaning, analysis, and interpretation. Ability to develop and apply statistical models to solve business problems.
  • Business Intelligence Tools:
    Proficiency in using business intelligence software and tools.

Program Requirements

To receive the Bachelor of Science in Business Administration, students must earn 121 semester credit hours. The program requires a minimum of 8 semesters, which is equivalent to 30 months or 120 weeks of instruction. Students will select one of the tracks available under this program.
