About the College of Nursing
Welcome to ECPI University’s College of Nursing, a leader in the nursing school education. It is our mission to develop skilled nurses who embody the best qualities of the profession: caring, integrity, and advocacy. If these qualities are within you, we offer three points of entry into this rewarding field: Practical Nursing (PN), Nursing Degree (ADN), and Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN).
If you’re our kind of student, you’re looking for a special environment, a no-nonsense place where you’re not just a number. At ECPI University’s College of Nursing, we offer a supportive atmosphere where you can find class sizes, plenty of academic support, and a hands-on approach to the nursing profession. Most importantly, we offer you the opportunity to begin your calling much sooner that you might expect. How do we do it? It begins with preparation.
Curriculum Supported by Clinical Technology
At ECPI University’s College of Nursing, you will find a learning environment that replicates what you might find at many hospitals and clinics, except we use simulation mannequins and industry-standard health technology. We offer a collaborative experience where you can learn from health professionals who share real-world situations they have encountered throughout their careers.
While the college experience is rich and rewarding, most people want to complete their education as soon as possible so they can begin their nursing careers. That’s why ECPI University’s nursing school offers a year-round program where you can earn a diploma in Practical Nursing in just 15 months, a Nursing Degree (ADN) in 18 months, a RN to BSN degree in one year, MSN in 15-22 months depending on the concentration.
Help When You Need It
Is accelerated education easy? No, but it’s manageable when you have a team of support staff ready to assist you when you need help. Small class sizes mean there is plenty of time for questions before, during or after class. Faculty members are highly-accessible and one-on-one tutoring is there for the asking.
Once you’ve tested your knowledge using simulation mannequins, it’s time to experience the real thing through clinical rotations. This is your chance to enter an actual healthcare setting and apply what you’re learned in the classroom. It’s the last step you take before graduating and beginning your nursing career.
When it’s time to begin searching for your first job, our career service advisors are always available to help with resume writing, interview preparation, and job search strategies. Graduates are a reflection of our school, so your success is our success.
