Secure Data and AI Systems

AIS310 Secure Data and AI Systems

College of Technology Applied AI Department

Course Description: This course examines the security, privacy, and governance considerations essential to data-driven and AI-enabled systems. Students will apply practices in secure data handling, access control, and risk awareness while exploring the compliance considerations that shape how organizations manage sensitive information. Particular attention is given to safeguarding the inputs and outputs of AI systems against emerging threats. Emphasis is placed on integrating security into everyday system operations rather than treating it as an afterthought. By the end of the course, students will be able to evaluate security and privacy risks, apply appropriate safeguards to data and AI workflows, and recognize governance and compliance obligations — preparing them to operate responsibly in increasingly regulated, AI-driven environments.
