Course Description: This course is Part 1 of a two-part comprehensive course presenting the interrelationship of each body system. The course presents an integrated approach to human anatomy and physiology, microbiology, and pathology. It includes basic chemistry, physics, cell structure, cell physiology, metabolism, tissues, and integumentary, skeletal, muscular, endocrine and nervous systems as it relates to health sciences. This course is also designed to provide students entering the healthcare profession with skills to learn medical terminology. It focuses on basic techniques of medical word building and application of these techniques to acquire an extensive medical vocabulary.
