Course Description: In this course, students will explore how nutrients support the body through various life stages. Students will examine how nutrition relates to overall wellness and common health conditions such as heart disease, diabetes, and gastrointestinal disorders. Students will learn to assess nutrition information, identify credible sources, and communicate effectively about food and health. Students will build practical knowledge they can apply in patient education, community wellness, or healthcare administration, while learning how evidence based nutrition supports healthy outcomes without providing individualized counseling.
