Course Description: This course introduces students to the fundamental safety concepts, tools, and techniques used in modern machine shops. Students will explore the properties and uses of various machine tools, including lathes, milling machines, and cutting machines, and their applications in manufacturing. Upon successful completion, students will have a comprehensive understanding of material properties, tool selection, and the basic principles of machine operation.
