Course Description: This course will cover the primary and secondary technical exposure factors that govern the acquisition and production of a radiographic image. An emphasis is placed on image quality factors, and the components of digital imaging systems. Students will learn the principles of technique selection and usage of imaging accessories that are used to produce quality diagnostic images. The basis of image evaluation and steps needed for improvement of suboptimal images are included in the course.Topics will also include receptor exposure, contrast, resolution, and distortion.
