FSM498 Food Service Externship I-a

College of Culinary Arts Food Service Management Department

Course Description: This externship is intended to provide students with an opportunity to experience a real-world, professional business situation and to apply the concepts, theories, and knowledge learned in the FSM curriculum. Students will have the opportunity to gain first-hand knowledge and participate in a professional food service environment. This experience will allow the students to interact with management and contribute to a food service business’ operation with guidance and mentorship. Students will be required to complete a written report, in addition to the required externship paperwork.

Credit Hours: 1.50
