Course Description: The focus of this course is to present the scope and practice of healthcare administration. This course covers Assigned readings will include the marketing, operations, financial and human resources management as well as effective communication strategies involved in healthcare administration. The scope of the regulatory environment in healthcare administration includes The Joint Commission (formerly the Joint Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations (JCAHO), the American Disabilities Act of 1990 (ADA), Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA), and Federal and State Regulations.
