Course Description: This course presents fundamentals of health services financial management. The course will emphasize healthcare payment systems and financial management of various types of healthcare environments. Students will be introduced to key concepts and terminology as they apply to healthcare finances and management as well as finance theories, principles, concepts and techniques that are most important to managers in the healthcare industry. Managed care and its multiple payor sources are covered.
