MET504 Artificial Intelligence in Manufacturing

Course Description: This course introduces students to the fundamentals of implementing artificial intelligence machine learning algorithms and AI-assisted design for manufacturing technologies. Topics covered include machine learning classification and regression methods with basic neural networks, techniques applied to failure prediction, and process monitoring, among other case studies. The course will review AI-assisted generative design for manufacturing, and automated modeling. Students will apply machine learning algorithms and AI-assisted technology to solve industrial problems or optimize design for manufacturing.
