Course Description: This course will allow students to learn how to take a patient's medical history and how to perform a physical exam. Students will learn to take and communicate a focused and comprehensive patient history and perform a physical exam of the body's major systems focusing this term on the heart exam, lung exam, abdominal exam, skin exam, and the overall general assessment of patients. Upon successful course completion, students will demonstrate how to take a history, perform a physical exam, and communicate those findings to other healthcare team members in writing and verbally.
