Course Description: In this second course in the Diagnostic Medicine Series students will focus on specialized areas of diagnostic and procedural imaging by regional system. Students will learn to select the most appropriate imaging study based on presenting signs, symptoms, and suspected diagnoses using evidence-based guidelines, while recognizing when timely referral for advanced imaging and radiologic consultation is necessary to support accurate diagnosis and high-quality patient care. Upon successful course completion, students will develop skill of imaging selection, interpretation, and the role of radiology in comprehensive patient care.
