Course Description: This course will provide a review of population health and epidemiology. Students will learn how to apply population health and epidemiology concepts to improve health outcomes and how health systems, agencies, and organizations work together. Upon successful completion of this course, students will be able to determine how to improve health equity, reduce health disparities, maintain population health, promote health and disease prevention strategies, and discuss how the distribution and determinants of health and disease affect different human populations.
