Course Description: This course introduces and builds upon concepts necessary for sound judgment in the use of chemical agents. Students learn principles of safe and accurate medication administration. Nursing process guidelines are incorporated to assist in the attainment of knowledge and skills related to medication therapy. Included in discussions are concepts underlying the medical uses of medications including pharmacodynamics, pharmacokinetics, and pharmacotherapeutics.
