Course Description: The basic principles and categories of pharmacotheraputic agents are introduced, organized by major pharmacological classifications. Clients are viewed holistically, with an emphasis on the education of both the client and the family in their use of pharmacotheraputic agents. Pharmacological principles, therapeutic effects, interactions, and side effects are examined, with a focus on assessment and evaluation of client outcomes.
