Course Description: This course will focus on the structure, operations, and outcomes associated with the United States' healthcare system and radiology’s role within that system.Students will learn how to assess a healthcare entity’s payer mix and expenditures in relation to the cost of services; identify key benchmarks in the development of the healthcare system; locate and read sources of research and monitoring of the healthcare system; and, evaluate the impact of existing legislation on the healthcare system.health care system, understand policy formation and implementation, and access sources of research and monitoring in healthcare delivery.
