Nearly 900 Newport News-Based Students to Receive Degrees
Newport News, VA – ECPI University and its School of Health Science, Medical Careers Institute, is pleased to announce the graduation of 895 students on Friday, June 15. Commencement will be held at 7:00 p.m. at Hampton University’s Convocation Center. Attendance is by invitation only.
Graduates will be receiving their associate and bachelor degrees in a variety of fields from the University’s Schools of Technology, Health Science, Business and Criminal Justice. Nationally, according to Community College Week, ECPI University ranks 2nd in associate degrees awarded in computer/information science and support services, 4th in engineering technologies and 25th in registered nursing. It also ranks 6th in the nation for associate degrees awarded to African-American students.
