Workforce-Aligned University Launches Campus in Atlanta, Expanding Access to In-Demand Tech and Engineering Careers

Cobb County location of ECPI University will offer accelerated Cyber and Information Security Technology, Electronics Engineering Technology, and Mechatronics programs as metro Atlanta's tech sector surges

ATLANTA, Ga. (Oct. 7, 2026) — ECPI University, a career-focused university with 18 campuses across five states that is one of the largest providers of nurses in the United States, today announced the opening of its newest campus in Atlanta, located at 3101 Towercreek Pkwy SE, Suite 700, in Cobb County. The Atlanta campus will initially offer accelerated programs in Cyber and Information Security Technology, Electronics Engineering Technology and Mechatronics—fields central to the continued growth of metro Atlanta’s technology and advanced-industry economy.

“Atlanta is one of the strongest technology and advanced-industry markets in the country, and there is a real gap between the number of open roles and the number of people trained to fill them,” said Keever Jankovich, MS, Campus President of ECPI University's Atlanta location. “Our job is to close that gap quickly, with career-focused programs that connect directly to the skills local employers are hiring for right now.”

Metro Atlanta ranks third nationally in Site Selection’s 2026 Tech Hub Index and fifth for corporate facility investment. Georgia also set a state record with $26.3 billion in new business investment in 2025. Technology now accounts for 4.1% of Atlanta-area employment, has grown 20% faster than the national average since 2010 and pays approximately 2.5 times the region’s average wage.

In Georgia, 55% of jobs are considered middle-skill, yet only 42% of the workforce is currently trained to that level. ECPI's Atlanta campus is designed to complement that existing infrastructure, including Georgia Quick Start, an 88-campus technical college system, and HOPE-funded aid, rather than duplicate it.

That growth has outpaced the pipeline of trained workers.

The new campus sits near the Cumberland business district and offers convenient access to I-75 and I-285, two of metro Atlanta's major transportation corridors, making it accessible to students commuting from throughout the region. The building includes 334 parking spaces and covered parking, an advantage for a primarily commuter student population. ECPI describes Cobb County as one of the largest and most active parts of metro Atlanta.

Jankovich brings more than two decades of higher education leadership experience to the role, including prior campus leadership positions at Pima Medical Institute, Kaplan College, and the Institute of Technology. He is focused on building programs aligned with regional workforce needs and creating direct pathways from education into meaningful careers.

ECPI University's accelerated model, with day, night, and online formats and new classes starting every five weeks, is built to shorten the path between enrollment and employment for adult and career-change students, many of whom are balancing work and family responsibilities alongside their studies.
