Acquire Skills Being Sought at ECPI University

Corvid Technologies, a U.S. Department of Defense contractor, has announced it will invest $28.9 million to add new capabilities to its facility in Southern Iredell County, just north of Charlotte, North Carolina. According to a news report in the Charlotte Business Journal (CBJ), it’s expected that the company will hire 367 new employees to work in one of two new three-story buildings that will house a data center, mechatronics lab, and prototyping center.

The new jobs are expected to generate $40.5 million dollars in economic impact, with the average wage being more than $110,000 per year. “The business-friendly climate at the local, county, and state level combined with access to premier engineering talent coming out of the nearby university systems were all major factors in our decision to locate the company headquarters in the area,” said Corvid CEO David Robinson in the CBJ article.
