About the Area
Charlotte is one of the nation’s leading financial and corporate centers, recognized as the second-largest banking hub in the United States. Known as the “Queen City,” it also continues to expand in healthcare and life sciences, contributing to a regional environment where clinical settings and career-relevant opportunities are present.
Uptown Charlotte serves as the city’s central hub, offering a mix of business, cultural attractions, dining, and public spaces. Surrounding communities such as Gastonia, Concord, Huntersville, Belmont, Matthews, and Rock Hill, South Carolina contribute to the broader metro area.
As Charlotte continues to grow its population and expand job opportunities across healthcare, information technology, logistics, aviation, energy, and advanced manufacturing, the need for skilled professionals continues to increase. Meeting that demand requires education that develops technical capability aligned to workforce expectations.

They are also constantly updated with input from industry leaders and professors to ensure students are receiving instruction that reflects what they will encounter in the workforce.
