Course Description: This course further expands upon the principles, theories and fundamental nursing concepts introduced in previous nursing classes with a key emphasis on the nursing process. Students will have opportunities to explore clinical reasoning, evidence based practice and care planning. Students will have opportunities to develop more advanced nursing skills needed to address the biopsychosocial needs of individuals in a multicultural society. Learning opportunities are presented in the classroom, laboratory and in supervised clinical experiences.
