Course Description: This course delivers a comprehensive review of the structure and operation of the U.S. health care system, and the political and social environment in which it exists. Students will learn how the U.S. health care delivery system was created, its operations in today’s climate, and the role of government in regulating health services. S. healthcare system, as well as perform fundamental analyses of factors influencing healthcare costs and access, availability of necessary services, quality, and the appropriateness of care rendered to clients.
