Course Description: This course links leadership and management theories to functions within nursing practice in a health care environment. The role of the nurse leader is examined within the framework of historical, economic, social, political, and cultural factors. An understanding of political and organizational structures, financial management, healthcare environments, and healthcare workforce management are emphasized.
