Adjutant General of South Carolina to Deliver 2016 Commencement Address

North Charleston, SCECPI University is pleased to announce Major General Robert E. Livingston, Jr., Adjutant General (TAG) of South Carolina, as its 2016 commencement speaker. The ceremony is scheduled for 7:00 pm on Friday, June 3 at West Ashley High School, located 4060 W. Wildcat Boulevard in Charleston. 

General Livingston’s military career began in 1978 when he enlisted in the South Carolina Army National Guard. After completing officer candidate school two years later, he quickly advanced through the ranks. Following the attacks of September 11, 2001, he has commanded a task force in support of homeland security as part of Operation Noble Eagle, been responsible for training and mentoring Afghan Security Forces, and has facilitated the exchange between United States Central Command and senior military representatives from more than 60 other countries.

  

Of the 132 graduates in this year’s graduating class, more than 70 are expected to participate in commencement exercises, receiving degrees in computer and information science, electronics engineering technology, nursing, health science, and business.
