About the Campus

ECPI University has two campus locations in Richmond to provide convenient access across Central Virginia.

The Emerywood campus is home to the health sciences programs in the Near West End of Richmond. This location offers access to students commuting from Richmond, Henrico, Chesterfield, Hanover, and surrounding communities. Situated near I-64, Glenside Drive, and Broad Street, the campus is centrally located within the metropolitan area.

The Glen Allen campus opened in 2022 and houses programs in technology, nursing, business, and culinary arts. The campus is located on West Broad Street in one of the fastest-growing areas of the Richmond region, providing access via I-64, I-295, and Route 288. Serving students from Richmond, Henrico, Hanover, Goochland, Chesterfield, and surrounding areas, the campus expands access across the western portion of the metro area.

Hands-On Degree Programs 

Our healthcare and nursing programs, including Dental Assisting, Physical Therapist Assistant, Diagnostic Medical Sonography, Bachelor of Science in Nursing, and Practical Nursing, are designed to align with the region’s ongoing need for qualified healthcare professionals. 

Programs in technology, including Cybersecurity and Electronics Engineering Technology, support growing demand for roles in networking, automation, and advanced manufacturing environments. 

Programs like Food Service Management and Business Management connect to Richmond’s hospitality, service, and corporate sector, supporting a range of operational and management roles. 

As one of ECPI University’s most comprehensive locations, the campus brings together a broad mix of program areas, aligned to workforce demand. To support this further, students have access to spaces designed to reflect the real-world environments, including: 

  • Electronic and Mechatronics Labs – Dedicated labs provide access to programmable logic controllers (PLCs), sensors, and diagnostic equipment used in automated systems, supporting testing, integration, and troubleshooting aligned with industry environments. 
  • Nursing Simulation Labs – Our nursing simulation labs are designed to reflect real healthcare environments, featuring patient simulators that support the development of clinical decision-making, technical skills, and patient care in hands-on settings.   
  • Computer Information Science (CIS) Labs – We have multiple CIS labs equipped with current hardware and software to support instruction in networking, cybersecurity, programming, cloud technologies, and systems administration. 

Campus Life 

On campus, we have several organizations to get involved with. Each provides leadership, networking, service, and professional development pathways. 

  • eSports Team – Students can try out for the Rams, ECPI University's collegiate gaming team, to represent the university and compete in the Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC).  
  • Honors Societies – The Golden Key International Honour Society recognizes academic achievement and offers access to networking and leadership opportunities. 
  • Library and Study Spaces – Students have access to the campus library that provides research resources, computers, and quiet study spaces to support progress inside and outside the classroom.
