ECPI University Tech Month

When the leaves begin to change and the air grows cooler for early morning classes, that’s when ECPI University faculty and staff start gearing up for Tech Month.

The university sets aside the month of October to commemorate its history in technology education, encourage the next generation of tech students, and provide awareness of the vital careers that ensure our world’s connection, productivity, and security.

In her role on Novant Health’s Business Intelligence team, she was tasked to design and build a new system for their Customer Service department. As she got into the project though, she began to realize that there was a communication gap between the coding and development of a new system, and the department’s processes. She decided that she wanted to pursue an IT degree to help.

Towards the end of her degree program, Rachel's mother sadly passed away. She dropped everything to fly to her mother and was met with unwavering support from her instructors, who allowed her to continue her assignments remotely to stay on track.
