Northern Virginia Campus Now Accepting Applications for New Homeland Security Program

Manassas, VA – ECPI University’s Northern Virginia campus is now accepting applications for its new Homeland Security program, created to meet continued demand within the employment sector.

“Every six months, I meet face to face with our National Capitol Region employer constituents in a Criminal Justice Advisory Board,” says Campus Criminal Justice Department Head Daniel McKenna, Esq. “These employers make clear an immediate and continuing need for entry-level employees with technical training and a mindset towards homeland security issues.

“This need is not just voiced by our federal constituents but by all three levels of government and, in particular, by our partners in the private sector. They know it isn’t a question of ‘if’ there will ever be other attacks, the question is only ‘when and where.’  Training individuals now to effectively prevent, detect, and neutralize these threats is paramount.”

ECPI University’s program is designed to provide graduates with knowledge and skills in:

  • Law Enforcement, Security, Surveillance and Investigations
  • Terrorism and Counter-terrorism
  • Homeland Security Operations
  • Legal Issues in Homeland Security
  • Multi-cultural Communication and International Ideologies
  • Emergency Planning

Moreover, through ECPI University’s year-round, accelerated program, students can earn their Bachelor of Science Degree in Criminal Justice with a concentration in Homeland Security in just 2.5 years.
