Getting a Deeper Learning with Artificial Intelligence (AI)

ECPI University continues to embrace the latest in technology and education. With the rise of artificial intelligence (AI), our classrooms must advance as our society does.  

“AI is something that is all throughout our society,” said ECPI EET faculty member Dr. Paul Nussbaum. “I would like our students to understand AI’s true capability, the societal impact, and how it can affect their career and lives.” 

Dr. Nussbaum recently underwent the rigorous process of becoming a NVIDIA Deep Learning Institute (DLI) Ambassador in early 2022.  

From Mom to Manufacturing Engineer: Meet Megan Swisher

Over 15 years ago, while working at Hollister Incorporated, a company specializing in ostomy and wound care products, Megan collaborated with engineers on various projects. It was during these interactions that she realized her passion for engineering and decided to pursue her dream.

When choosing a University, Megan opted for ECPI, specifically ECPI Online. The flexibility of online learning and the fast-paced, accelerated program structure perfectly suited her busy life. Megan was able to maintain a full-time job and support her family while working toward her degree. 

Culinary Students 'Cap' off their Program

Students at the Culinary Institute of Virginia's Norfolk campus recently wrapped up their Baking & Pastry Arts program with the Capstone Themed Buffet/Plated Desserts event. This event is both a reflection of what they've learned and a glimpse into their futures as culinary professionals.

At the forefront of this program stands Chef Jeanne Mancuso, an EPIC award-winning instructor. Her dedication to teaching didn't go unnoticed – students surprised her with an inflatable Baby Yoda.

Leary Williams, Mechanical Engineering Technology Graduate

Leary Williams’ story begins in Kingston, Jamaica, where he lived with his family until immigrating to the United States with his mom when he was in second grade.

After graduating from high school, community college didn’t work out for Leary. This dead end led him to follow his brother’s path into the military, a decision that provided him with practical experience and skills that would prove beneficial in the years to come.
