CJ230 Introduction to Terrorism

A comprehensive overview of international and domestic terrorism, arising from either religious or secular roots is the focus of this course. It will examine the historical and philosophical underpinnings of terrorism in general and identified terrorist organizations. Special emphasis will be on the impact of weapons of mass destruction, i.e. nuclear/radiological, biological and chemical means, on the changing face of terrorism throughout the world and the controversial aspects of counter-terrorist policies and actions.
