NUR470 Professional Leadership

This course links leadership and management theories to functions within nursing practice in a health
care environment. The role of the nurse leader is examined within the framework of historical, economic, social, political and cultural factors. An understanding of the legal aspects of practice, delegation and supervision, political and organizational structures, financial management, healthcare environments and healthcare workforce management are emphasized.
