Stephen Arthur, Director of AI and Analytics at ECPI University, recently joined an online panel as part of Insight Jam. The series is produced by Solutions Review, an information technology company reporting on the latest technological developments. Each Insight Jam panel brings together educators, industry professionals, and thought leaders to examine emerging trends and their impact.
This episode explores how artificial intelligence (AI) is affecting learning, collaboration, and workforce readiness, while also reinforcing the continued importance of human interaction.
Arthur discusses his role at ECPI University, where he leads efforts to bring AI into both academic and operational settings. His work includes developing ECPI’s internal platform and supporting training for staff and faculty. He notes that technology alone doesn’t drive effective learning. As new AI tools become more common in education, greater importance should be placed on instructor guidance and critical thinking.
This work now extends across ECPI University’s curriculum and operations. So far, more than 35 courses have integrated AI as part of their instruction and coursework. In addition, the university’s partnership with OpenAI provides faculty and staff with access to tools that support their work and allow more time for student engagement.
Together, these efforts reflect how ECPI University is responding to changes in technology and industry needs. As AI continues to shape the professional landscape, higher education must keep up to prepare students for evolving expectations. By integrating AI across the university, ECPI aims to help students become familiar with the tools and practices they need for the modern workplace.
