MGT645 – Human Resource Management Compliance
This course will provide a survey of employment rules and regulations, including employment discrimination (such as protected class,
disparate impact, disparate treatment, retaliation); military leave; drug-free workplace legal issues; workplace violence; the Family and
Medical Leave Act of 1993 (FMLA); the Americans with Disabilities Act of 1990 (ADA); negligent referral; negligent hiring; negligent
retention; employee references; and workplace harassment. Students will develop an understanding of Human Resource Management
(HRM) that involves compliance and regulatory issues and trends. Upon successful completion of this course, students will have an
understanding of compliance issues that impact HRM.
