MSCS643 Cybersecurity Governance and Compliance
This course explores the strategic role of governance, compliance, and risk management in modern cybersecurity environments. Students will evaluate best practices for implementing cybersecurity measures across organizational and technical domains, applying relevant laws, regulations, and standards to business, government, and critical infrastructure contexts. Emphasis is placed on designing effective policies and procedures that clarify roles, responsibilities, and accountability. Students will examine governance frameworks and risk management principles that support enterprise-wide cybersecurity decision-making. The course also investigates the impact of emerging technologies, including artificial intelligence, on cybersecurity governance and compliance strategies.
