It's common to see jokes about password requirements becoming so complex you need a combination of an uppercase letter, a lowercase letter, and a few ancient glyphs just to access your e-mail. But the need for cyber security has never been greater. With massive data breeches being announced regularly, it's never too early to start learning about cyber security and how to keep yourself safe in our increasingly online world.

Hax Attacks, an App Game about Cyber Security

Hax Attacks is an iOS app that wants to help prepare users for the realities of cyber security while playing an enjoyable game. The villain of the series, Hax, is a cyber hacker who wants to destroy your data, represented by blue spheres. You have to get your data to the computer database without it becoming corrupted, which is represented by the spheres turning red.

In order to get the spheres safely to the computer you have to avoid viruses, phishing schemes, and other cyber attacks. As you progress through the game you gain new weapons to use against Hax. The load screens also show you a variety of cyber security tips as you play.

If you want to learn how to keep people safe online, there is a great career path available and it all starts with education.

Higher Education is Key to Becoming a Cyber Warrior
