Aims to Ease Transition to Bachelor’s Degree, Includes all 16 Colleges

In an effort to enhance the seamless transfer of students and graduates from technical colleges in South Carolina to baccalaureate-level programs, the South Carolina Technical College System (SCTCS) has entered into a new partnership agreement with ECPI University. SCTCS’ stated mission is to play a key role in educating and training South Carolina's workforce. That makes it an ideal partner for ECPI University, which has a very similar objective. All of ECPI University’s programs are aligned with the professional standards of the employment marketplace as outlined by industry partners that regularly review our curriculum.

Details About this New Opportunity

As part of this new agreement, ECPI University will extend the following benefits to graduates from any of the 16 SCTCS technical colleges who have earned an AA, AS, or AAS:

  • Waived application and registration fees.
  • Cost of attendance no more than the total of tuition and fees at the highest South Carolina public university’s in the state for the chosen program.
  • All credits earned in the associate degree with a “C'' or higher will be considered for transfer. The number of credits transferred vary by program.
  • Depending on the number of credits transferred, SCTCS associate degree graduates attending ECPI University full time may complete the bachelor's degree in 1 to 1.5 years.

"Through our accelerated, year-round schedule, they can complete their program in about a year. Because our skills-based curriculum are aligned with the professional requirements of the workplace, it means we can produce graduates who are ready to compete in today's job market."
